Registration and Contract Conclusion

2.1 Registration for participation in the event is only possible through the conference website https://wos2024.org or in person at the event venue.

2.2 The organizer makes an offer to conclude a purchase contract with the information provided on the website. The participant accepts the offer to conclude a purchase contract by completing the ordering process and clicking the "Complete Registration" button in the final order form. The effective acceptance of the offer by the participant requires that the participant has filled in all required fields in the order form (indicated by "*") and has accepted these Terms.

2.3 The contract for participation in the event is only concluded after the organizer has confirmed the registration to the participants in writing via email. Changes and/or additions to the contract require written form. This also applies to the revocation of the written form clause.

3.1. The prices for participation listed on the conference website https://wos2024.org are final and binding on the participant.

3.2. All prices include, where necessary, the applicable value-added tax.

3.3. If special discounts (for students, members of certain organizations, etc.) are granted, these are also indicated separately. If no discounts are indicated, they cannot be granted. Discounts must be granted upon presentation of proper documentation. The proof must be provided before the start of the event. If the proof cannot be provided, the participant must pay the difference between the full price and the discounted price at the beginning of the event to be eligible for admission.

4.1. Payment is made through the methods indicated on the website. All prices are due immediately upon contract conclusion.

4.2. Payment by invoice:

If the participant does not pay within 14 days after receiving the invoice, the organizer may withdraw from the contract. If the organizer withdraws from the contract, the participant loses the right to participate in the event. The participant is responsible for any fees incurred through the transfer.

4.3. Payment by credit card:

When paying by credit card (MasterCard, Visa), the participant will be prompted to enter credit card information during the payment process. The associated credit card account will be charged for the ticket amount.

4.4. If a payment is charged back (e.g., due to insufficient funds in the account provided during the order), the participant must compensate for any damage or expenses resulting from the chargeback. This includes bank fees and a processing fee of 10.00 EUR per chargeback for processing by the organizer. In the case of an unjustified chargeback, a processing fee of 40.00 EUR will be charged. In the event of a chargeback, the organizer is entitled to immediately withdraw from the contract. The participant loses the right to participate in the booked event. This does not affect any further claims the organizer may have against the participants.

Right of Withdrawal

5.1. Right of Withdrawal:

Right of Withdrawal:

If the participant is a consumer within the meaning of § 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB), they may withdraw their contract declaration within 14 days without providing any reasons in written form (e.g., letter or email). To exercise this right, the participant may send an email with their name to the following contact details:

The withdrawal period begins after receiving this notice in written form but not before the conclusion of the contract and also not before fulfilling the information obligations of the organizer according to Art. 246 § 2 in conjunction with § 1 (1) and (2) of the German Introductory Act to the Civil Code (EGBGB) and the obligations according to § 312g (1) sentence 1 of the BGB in conjunction with Art. 246 § 3 EGBGB. If the participant cannot return the received benefit and uses it (e.g., benefits of use) in whole or in part or can only return it in deteriorated condition, they must provide compensation to the organizer to that extent. The obligation to provide compensation must be fulfilled within 30 days. The period begins for the participant with the dispatch of the withdrawal declaration and for the organizer with its receipt.

End of the Right of Withdrawal

5.3 The right of withdrawal expires prematurely if the organizer, with the express consent of the participant, begins the performance of services before the end of the withdrawal period or if the participant initiates the performance of services themselves.
