Special Session:
Foundations of safety science – ten years after

Following a session at the Working on Safety 2012 conference, the journal Safety Science published a special issue on the Foundations of Safety Science. Ten years later, we aim to revisit these foundations during WOS 2024. Significant progress has strengthened researcher networks and expanded our knowledge base. Rapid changes in the risk landscape have placed high demands on our community. This session aims to reflect on our scientific foundations and continue strengthening them.
